EA: Creatively Creative continues its privilege and fortune of having the opportunity to speak with bright, creative, literary minds. This week, I spoke with an author who has published 18 novels in a year, including collaborations. That's astounding! Without further ado, the author spotlight shines on the Authoress Bianca Jones.
EA: What motivated you to write the You Ain't Gotta be Perfect series?
BJ: What motivated me to write the You Ain’t Gotta Be Perfect series was because I wanted to write about a man who can truly change for the woman that he loves and want to be with. A man who will do anything for his wife, and kids.
EA: What inspired you to write Urban Fiction?
BJ: I have been reading Urban Fiction since I was a younger girl, but I never dreamed of writing a book until I was in the middle of meeting in a job that I hated in November of 2015. What inspires me now is the readers that are always in my readers group, and my inbox telling me how much they love my work. They motivate me to continue writing. I truly write for them.
EA: Are there other genres that you write or would like to write?
BJ: I would love to write Interracial Romance one day.
EA: Were there any authors who inspired you to become a writer?
BJ: I love reading Carl Weber, Brenda Jackson, Kimberla Lawson Roby, Zane, and Reshonda Tate Bilingsley There are so many, but those are the top ones that I could read every day.
EA: Would you say that the process of writing a book is easy?
BJ: NO! NO! NO! Writing a book is NOT easy. You got to make sure your plot can keep the readers’ attention. You got to make sure that you have no errors. Make sure that every person’s story ties into the main plot. The editing process is the hardest.
EA: Describe the feeling you had when you signed with Royalty Publishing House and published your first novel under them.
BJ: I felt good. I was so scared because I ain’t know if people would actually like my work. You can have a good release, and then you can have a bad release. This industry is so hot and cold. Royalty has helped shape my writing on so many levels though.
EA: What can readers expect next from Bianca Jones?
BJ: Readers can expect me to keep writing, and to keep releasing dope books.
EA: What is your vision as an author overall?
BJ: My vision is to one day become a screen writer for a hit movie or TV show. Also to own my own publishing company so I can teach new writers what was taught to me.
EA: Finally, tell the readers why the You Ain't Gonna be Perfect series is a must buy.
BJ: You Ain’t Gotta Be Perfect is a must buy because you will feel every emotion that you can feel when reading this book. You will fall in love with these characters.
Epilogue
I'm convinced that the dread of being on a job that you hate, and you're going absolutely nowhere with, and the burning desire to see our literary works transition onto the TV and/or silver screen is a common bond shared by all authors and writers. I would like to thank Bianca for taking the time to speak with us. A final word from Bianca:
